Sir Mix-A-Lot, translated

Next time someone claims that high school Latin is pointless, direct them to this translation of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s 1992 hit “Baby Got Back“, with retranslation back to English. It includes such lines as “magnae clunes mihi placent, nec possum de hac re mentiri,” which apparently translates literally as “large buttocks are pleasing to me, nor am I able to lie concerning this matter.”

Don’t forget to read the footnotes.
